hey guys I'm new to isochronics/isotones(thanks to my cousin klumzypinoy ;p ), and by far am enjoying it more than the other brainwave things I have used before. But anyway, I was wondering what kind of head phones do you recommnd using? iPod earbuds? Regular head phones? Or something more specific. What do you use that works for you ? And if possible can you tell me where I can purchase them? The isotones work for me, but is it possible that certain or better headphones amplify the effects? Lol, yeah, any kind of help is greatly appreciated.

Oh, you don't have to switch it to mono, it doesn't really affect the pulses at all. I use stereo personally. And you can use any headphones as long as they aren't blown out (or almost blown out) and they are good enough to hear the "dududududududududududududududu" sound of the isochronic tones (the pulsing). I hope you enjoy the tones, I'd recommend downloading the starter pack if you're unsure of what to try.

I thought that for isochronic tones you do not need headphones at all. Am I missing anything?

You don't need them, but they help a lot.

It's mainly just to help focus the sound waves into your ear. Same way people prefer listening through headphones verses a speaker.

I just got a pair of sony mdr-v6 headphones, they aren't really meant to take out lots of sound, but they do muffle everthing quite well (which is really nice for isochronic tones because as long as it's relatively quiet, it takes away the rest of the background noise, putting you in your own little world). If you happen to already be looking for new headphones anyway, and want quality, these are good headphones to go with, but anything works. You probably already got your answer, but I figured the more the merrier.
