I know a bit about Visual Basic 2008 and i was thinking about making a downloader + request system to help people make it easier to download their tones without having to go to the page! And they can send requests to the admin for new tone sessions directly to the admins email!...

Because since there a group of members that were starting a project... i wanted to help to >.> in some way to the new site or this one...

i dont know if its a good idea so, you guys tell me! =)

It's a great idea, and I think it's been thought of before (don't quote me on that). However, a reasonable person would see that this site's (main) design is mediocre compared to certain other sites - no offense admin - andmay be concerned about malware. If you were to do this, I would say that it's a safe bet that you'd have to include the source code. Talk with admin on this one though, I can't grant permission for this sort of thing, nor can I give you terms or guidelines for it.

In any case, source is nice because people know exactly what they are getting with no worries.

Yes of course! I will give the source to admin and someone that knows programming for examination. Its rather a simple program, but it works pretty good. =)
Ill have to discuss some things about the request system with admin. And yeah, i would never give malicious files to anybody! I only want to help =)

I wouldn't think you would mean any harm, but others might anyway. I'm not too worried about anything anyway, so if you get the chance I'd like to see it as well, if you don't mind. I've secretly been waiting for something like this to come along haha.

hahaha yeah! ill give you a copy for testing! of course in BETA cuz it will have some flaws but still working!

I could help you with the GUI, I'd suggest you go open source or start from something open source.

I have very basic knowledge in app programming (I'm more into web programming). I'm good at design though.

Hmm you could do a dependant dropdown instead. For example, the first one will affect the choice of your second one.

Please choose your tone type: (dropdown1)
Spiritual

Select your tone: (dropdown2 that reacts to your dropdown1 choice)
Bleh Aura
Bloh chakra
Spiritual blah
Blah spirit

That way you will save space and have a much cleaner interface!
